MOISTURE TESTING

Where flooring or impermeable membranes are to be installed on top of the slab. Problems with floor coverings, such as bubbles, blisters, and delamination, occur when impermeable floor coatings trap excess moisture remaining in the slab. Before applying flooring, test your concrete to determine if the moisture content in a slab is within an acceptable range for seamless epoxy flooring, polyurethane floor coatings, and other impermeable coverings.

FLOOR GRINDING

Prepare the surface. Preparation of the substrate is necessary to ensure adhesion between the epoxy product and the substrate. Suitable methods are sanding or diamond-grinding. Any surfaces that have been contaminated with oils may also require chemical cleaning.

GROOVES & CRACKS CUTTINGS

To maintain a jointless finish of epoxy flooring, we have to open all grooves and cracks through hand grinder or cutting blades, etc.

SWEEPING AND CLEANING OF THE FLOOR

Use an industrial vacuum that picks up even small dust particles. The floor must be cleaned of all dust and residues before starting to prime. Otherwise, you will have various particles trapped within the coat, and adhesion will be significantly weakened. The less micro-dust on the surface, the less primer you will need.

FILL ALL GROOVES, CRACKS & HOLES WITH EPOXY FILLERS

For thin cracks & Grooves, it may be necessary to fill them with a suitable epoxy mortar and sealant to improve floor quality.

APPLICATION OF PRIMER

Priming will give your floor a longer life and better adhesion to the substrate. Priming will seal the substrate, thus eliminating the risks of bubbles and gases. Priming helps reduce the amount of product that will be required in the later stages. Ensure that the areas are ventilated properly.

APPLICATION OF SCREED

It's a three-component epoxy-based SL topping, components need to mix in proper ratio and stir for 10 minutes and then apply with the help of a notch trowel. Spike roller breaks the air bubbles. So please roll the spike roller before the material starts to settle; otherwise, roller marks will come. After application of Screed, around eight hours have to be given for curing.

APPLICATION OF SEALER COAT

Before applying the final coat on the screed, always, we applied one sealer coat that helps us to notice various problems that have appeared on floors such as cracks, pinholes, uneven surfaces, blistering, etc. If necessary, wait an extra day for the grout to dry before recoating.

APPLICATION OF TOP COAT

Before placing the final coat, make sure all holes and cracks have been filled, and that all dust has been collected. Otherwise, you will get an ugly texture on the final surface.
